From Nandurbar roots to statewide tribal leadership

The Bhil tribe's history of resilient community governance makes Gavit's trajectory — from a forested Nandurbar upbringing to ministerial and parliamentary power — emblematic of constitutional reservation policy at work.

As Tribal Development Minister (2010–14), MP (2018–24), and now MLA (2024–present), the focus has remained on health, education, livelihoods, forest rights, and integrated village development.
